Golden Turtle found in Nepal for the First Time ever, See Pics. A turtle born with a golden shell due to a rare genetic mutation is being worshipped as God in Nepal. The unique-looking reptile was found in the Dhanushadham Municipality which is part of Nepal's Dhanusha District. It was identified by the Mithila Wildlife Trust as an Indian flap shell turtle.
